The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment, although first published in 1648, continues to be pertinent to Christians today. In fact, for me it was life-changing. No one wants to be perceived as negative or a complainer by their friends, but this book explains why murmuring and complaining is such a grievous sin in God's eyes, why practicing the habit of contentment is a valuable method of worshipping our sovereign Lord, who is in control of all our circumstances, and how to begin to form that habit. I highly recommend this book.
