Description

If you're looking for a good mystery with plenty of action, strong characterization, and a complex plot, this book is for you. As you try to piece it all together, you'll inevitably find yourself wondering what you would do in many situations, as inner and outward conflicts rise to an exhilarating crescendo.

Pearle, the beautiful bride, paves the way in a captivating first chapter as, with horror in her eyes, she walks down the aisle. Then her sudden disappearance wreaks havoc, and she is relentlessly pursued. Trials and tragedy often reveal one's true nature, and Pearle comes out shining as she demonstrates great courage and inner strength. She soon realizes that, out of trials that seem to crush us to the earth, we can rise through God's love and help into a purer and better life than we have ever known.

Found - A Heroine Like Ishamael
For all Lamplighter readers who loved Ishmael - Here is his female counterpart! I spent a rainy weekend with this courageous, humble, virtuous character and finished with a feeling of gratitude for once again finding a character worthy of emulation. This is a page turner that will leave you wanting more. I loved Pearle, she's my new favorite!

Refine my faith as gold in a fire
When I began to read A Lost Pearle, I was in a considerably unhappy mood. Waking thoughts and nightly dreams about a recent heartbreaking event troubled me. Could I have done things differently? Was it my fault? Was God even using this circumstance for the good? At times I thought that he was, but that morning, for the first time, I wished it had never happened. As I began A Lost Pearle, I was surprised by some striking similarities between myself and Pearle. She faced, in some ways, very similar emotions, fears, and choices to those I had been through. My attention was immediately caught. I found myself unable to put down the book. What would happen to Pearle, and how could God possibly turn her circumstances for the good?

My attitude reached a decisive turning point when Pearle, after all the unhappiness and trying circumstances she had been through, said that none of it had been wasted time! It was all used to make her into a better person, more dependent upon the Lord, and more sympathetic toward others. Though her faith in God was not often mentioned, the few times when it was mentioned were like light bulbs in my mind. Wow. If Pearle's faith enabled her to go through so much and yet forgive, love, and be willing to trust again, how much more can I trust the Lord to help me through my pain? He will bring me through, and he will use the experience to refine my faith as gold in a fire.
