The story of Guy Aylmer, page of Sir Eustace de Villeroy, who defends the Castle of Villeroy from siege, acts as protector for Lady Margaret and the children when they are called to Paris as hostages, and successfully defends them when their house in Paris is attacked by the White Hoods. Aided by an exiled Italian count and his daughter, Guy first hides the family and then helps them to escape to safety. Later, in the serve of King Henry, Guy fights bravely at the historic Battle of Agincourt and is later rewarded royally in Britain for his courage in the battle.
