Description
A deeply moving story of the heavy waves of persecution which fell upon Christian families in the 17th century; but more than that, encouragement that God is able to give sufficient grace for us to stand faithful, whatever those opposed to the gospel hurl at us.
The story follows the lives of two main characters: Eglantine, and Rene Chevalier. Eglantine is a hot-tempered girl, and as the king's persecutions of Huguenots grows bolder and more outrageous, the angrier she becomes.
Rene, on the other hand, is more even-tempered and studying to be a physician. As the years pass, persecutions for the Huguenots grow only worse and their families must go into hiding. But these very different people stand firm in their faith while experiencing great hostility.
This is volume 3 of The Huguenot Inheritance Series, a set of stories each of which stands alone and can be read on its own, as a living history of the tenacity of the Huguenot peoples.
